AI & Data Use

Version 2026-09-28 · Effective September 28, 2026

AI features can assist with analysis and drafting, but customers remain responsible for reviewing accuracy, eligibility, deadlines, requirements, and final submission decisions. Create Lume does not guarantee grant awards.

What AI does today

Create Lume uses governed AI-assisted workflows for tasks such as organization-readiness analysis, solicitation and requirement analysis, evidence-grounded drafting assistance, and independent review. Customer-facing capabilities are labeled Available Now, Beta, In Development, or Planned so future functionality is not presented as shipped.

What may be sent to a model provider

To complete an AI request, Create Lume may send the minimum relevant context needed for that feature, including user instructions, grant or solicitation text, organization facts, selected evidence, and draft content. Different features can require different context.

Verified evidence and provenance

Grant-writing workflows are designed to distinguish verified organization evidence from unverified information and to preserve supporting references for material claims. AI output can still be incomplete or wrong. Customers must review generated content and the authoritative grant materials before relying on it.

Usage and cost controls

Create Lume records AI operational telemetry such as organization, feature/workstream, model route, token usage, estimated cost, and request outcome. Plan, tenant, and budget controls can limit or stop AI work to protect service reliability and cost.

No automatic external submission

Draft generation does not authorize submission. External grant submission is a separate capability and is not performed without explicit customer authorization and the applicable audit controls.
